Kyiv, 12 February – Ukraine’s capital has once again been hit by Russian missiles. The morning strike hit several districts of the city, causing destruction, fires and casualties.

The most tragic consequences occurred in Obolon district, where one person was killed and four others were injured, including a child. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES).

The scale of the destruction

According to the rescuers, the missile debris partially destroyed the office building, causing a fire. Police and emergency services quickly arrived at the scene, extinguished the fire and are clearing the rubble.

Debris was also found in Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi and Obolonskyi districts. Experts are currently inspecting the area, recording the extent of the damage and helping the victims.

Government response

Law enforcement officials are urging residents of the capital not to ignore air raid warnings, as attacks may be repeated. Kyiv authorities are working to eliminate the consequences of the strike and provide assistance to the victims.

Despite yet another terrorist attack, the capital did not give up: utilities are working, doctors are saving lives, and Ukrainians remain unbroken. The enemy once again tried to sow panic, but once again encountered the strength of the capital’s spirit.

We are holding on. We are winning.
