In 2025, the Ukrainian military will receive FPV drones worth UAH 44 billion. These funds were allocated by the Ministry of Defence to ensure a technological advantage over the enemy, said Hlib Kanevskyi, Director of the Defence Ministry’s Procurement Policy Department, during a meeting with representatives of the Technological Forces of Ukraine.
Last year, the main financial resources were allocated to the purchase of long-range drones, but now the priority has shifted to the purchase of FPV drones, including fibre-optic models. The meeting participants also discussed important issues related to scaling up the production and supply of drones for the Armed Forces, as well as simplifying bureaucratic procedures to ensure faster integration of new drone models into the armed forces. One of the most important areas was reducing the time it takes to deliver drones to combat units and expanding the range of suppliers and manufacturers of defence products.
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine aims to increase the technological power of the army through the integration of innovative solutions in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, which should significantly increase the effectiveness of the Ukrainian army in war.
