The IDF (Israeli Defence Forces) has announced that it has recently attacked military facilities in the Baalbek area and several other areas in southern Lebanon, where the Hezbollah terrorist organisation has been active. In particular, the attacks targeted rocket launchers and weapons depots.

These actions of Hezbollah, according to the IDF representative, violate the agreements between Israel and Lebanon and pose a direct threat to the security of Israel and its civilians. “Terrorist activity in southern Lebanon threatens the stability of the region and the security of our citizens,” the IDF spokesman said.

The IDF stressed that it will continue to act vigorously against any threats directed against the state of Israel. “We remain alert and ready to act to ensure the security of our nation and protect its citizens from any aggressive actions,” he added.

In addition, the IDF expresses its concern over recent events and reiterates its commitment to protecting Israeli citizens and supporting international efforts to stabilise the situation in the region.
