In Brussels, before the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, EU High Representative Kaja Kallas said that the United States’ rhetoric on Ukraine contains Russian narratives. At the same time, the European Union is seeking to strengthen cooperation with Washington in finding a just peaceful solution that takes into account Ukraine’s position.
According to Kallas, the statements of the US side are increasingly showing elements that coincide with Russian propaganda. She stressed that Ukraine should play a key role in shaping any agreements to end the war, and the EU is ready to actively engage in this process.
Europe’s position remains unwavering: peace is possible only on Kyiv’s terms, without coercion or concessions to the aggressor. Kaja Kallas stressed that it is now necessary to strengthen support for Ukraine rather than seek compromises that could jeopardise its sovereignty.
Amid growing concerns about the future position of the United States, European leaders continue diplomatic consultations aimed at ensuring stable and long-term support for Kyiv.
