Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has announced a new package of military assistance to Ukraine worth €1 billion in 2025. He made the announcement during the Support Ukraine Summit.
According to Sánchez, Spain will continue to support Ukraine not only with military assistance but also with economic recovery. Spain will also step up efforts to support the Ukrainian diaspora and create a special Ukrainian hub in the province of Alicante.
Supporting Ukraine on its way to the EU
The Prime Minister of Spain stressed that Madrid supports Ukraine’s early accession to the European Union.
“No matter what happens in the coming months, Ukraine’s accession to the EU is the most important victory for the Ukrainian people,” Sanchez said.
Spain continues to demonstrate its active support for Ukraine by joining international initiatives on military, economic and humanitarian assistance.
