According to the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) press service, today, on Sunday, Israeli troops eliminated a group of suspects who were attempting to plant an explosive device near army positions in the northern Gaza Strip.

While observing the area, the military recorded suspicious activity, which was later confirmed to be an attempt to plant explosives. Aviation was used to neutralise the threat:

“In order to avert the danger, the Israeli Air Force struck the suspects,” the IDF said in an official statement.

The IDF stressed that the army will continue to act decisively to eliminate any threats to both Israeli civilians and its soldiers.

The operational situation in northern Gaza remains tense, as militants continue to attempt attacks on Israeli forces, using explosive devices and sabotage, threatening stability in the region.
