Kryvyi Rih is once again mourning its people. As a result of a brutal rocket attack by Russian troops on a hotel in the city centre, the death toll has risen to four. According to Oleksandr Vilkul, the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defence Council, a 43-year-old man who was seriously injured died in intensive care.

“His condition was critical, doctors fought for his life all night, but unfortunately, his injuries were incompatible with life,” Vilkul said.

It is known that the attack was carried out the night before, when people were in the hotel building. Among the victims are those who are still fighting for their lives in hospitals.

On Friday, 7 March, Kryvyi Rih will declare a day of mourning. The city will bow its heads to the victims, and flags will be at half-mast as a sign of mourning.

This attack was yet another indication that Russia’s war against Ukraine is a war against civilians, who are being targeted by missiles and drones on a daily basis.

Once again, Ukrainians are proving to the world that they will not break. But each such news is a pain that cannot be measured.

Eternal memory to the victims.
