Russia attacks Ukraine with Iskanders and drones: Ukrainian air defence destroys 68 Shahed

On the night of 6 March, the enemy launched a massive attack on the territory of Ukraine, firing two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 112 Shahed attack drones and imitators. Thanks to the coordinated work of air defence forces, 68 attack drones were shot down. This was reported by the Air Force of Ukraine.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups.

Most Shaheds were destroyed in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Dnipro and Odesa regions.

It was also reported that 43 enemy imitator drones were lost locally without any negative consequences.

The attack caused damage in Kharkiv, Sumy, Odesa and Dnipro regions. The damage response is ongoing and local authorities are working to restore critical infrastructure.

Air defence forces continue to keep the skies under reliable protection, destroying enemy drones and missiles to protect civilians from Russian attacks.
