Russian troops attack Dnipropetrovs’k region: multi-storey buildings, businesses and private homes damaged

On the night of 8 April, Russian occupation forces launched a massive attack on civilian settlements in the Dnipro region, using attack drones and heavy artillery. This was reported by the head of the Dnipro Regional Military Administration Serhiy Lysak on Telegram.

According to him, the Samarivskyi district came under enemy fire, with drone strikes on civilian infrastructure being recorded there. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out and was quickly extinguished by rescuers.

“At night, the enemy attacked Samarivskyi district with a UAV. The infrastructure was damaged. There was a fire – rescuers extinguished the fire. Six apartment buildings and a shop were damaged,” said Lysak.

At the same time, the Russians shelled Nikopol district with both drones and artillery. The shelling covered Nikopol, Marhanetska and Pokrovska communities.

As a result, administrative buildings, an industrial enterprise, a private house and a public bus were damaged.

Sinelnykivka district was also affected: two private houses and an outbuilding were destroyed as a result of Russian shelling.

Despite the scale of the destruction, there were no casualties or injuries.

“There were no casualties everywhere. The units of the Vostok military group destroyed 8 UAVs over the region,” the head of the region summed up.
