Putinist Kirkorov flaunts a fake Rolex with a statue of the Motherland – there is no real collaboration

Russian singer and well-known supporter of the Kremlin regime, Philip Kirkorov, who recently buried his father, has found himself in a new scandal. This time, it’s over a fake collaboration with the Swiss brand Rolex.

A video has been posted online showing Kirkorov demonstrating a watch from the allegedly “exclusive Rolex line” dedicated to Victory Day. The case of the accessory features an image of the Motherland monument, one of the symbols of Russian military propaganda. The singer claims that this is a limited edition from the global brand.

In the video, he also shows boxes with the inscription “80 – victory“, apparently in honour of the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory in World War II. Inside are St George’s ribbons, which have become a symbol of Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Rolex is silent – but the “atelier” from Russia is talking

There is no mention of such a collection on the official Rolex website. However, watches with a similar design are presented on the website of XLAB Watches, a so-called “prestigious atelier” from London.

Interestingly, the site was registered in April 2024 through the Russian company Per.py, which casts doubt on both the authenticity of the brand and its links to Rolex. The cost of the watches is not specified – the website only states that the products are intended for “special clients”.

“Victory” and the cult of war

The incident is yet another manifestation of the “victory lap ” – the cult of war that is being actively promoted in Russia. Under the guise of luxury and “elite patriotism”, Kremlin stars are trying to legitimise aggression by manipulating symbols that have long been synonymous with occupation, violence and lies.
