The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Belgium, Andriy Sybiga and Maxime Prevost, held a meaningful meeting to discuss key areas of bilateral cooperation, including the expansion of military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
Sibiga reported this on the social network X. The meeting took place during a joint visit to Baryshivka, Kyiv region.

“During the visit, I thanked Belgium for the construction of a shelter at a local lyceum and the active participation of the Belgian agency Enabel in the reconstruction of Ukraine, particularly in the regions most affected by Russian aggression,” Sibiga said.
The parties agreed to continue their joint efforts to:
- development of bilateral cooperation;
- strengthening Ukraine’s defence capabilities;
- strengthening humanitarian support;
- bringing the Russian Federation to justice for its crimes.
The minister also thanked Belgium for announcing a new €1 billion defence package aimed at strengthening the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The total amount of Belgium’s assistance to Ukraine has already exceeded €2 billion.
“Belgium demonstrates true solidarity with the Ukrainian people – both in the military and humanitarian aspects,” the Ukrainian Foreign Minister stressed.
