Over the last day, 148 combat engagements were registered in the frontline, with the hottest fighting taking place in the Pokrovske, Toretske, Lyman and Kursk sectors. The enemy attacked most heavily in the Pokrovsk sector, with Ukrainian troops stopping 53 assault and offensive actions there. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy attacked the positions of the Defence Forces in the areas of Romanivka, Serhiivka, Andriivka, Bohdanivka and at least ten other settlements. The attacks were fierce, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces held their defence lines.
The Russian army conducted 22 attacks in the Toretsk sector and 13 in the Liman sector. The enemy attempted to break through near Torske, Dronivka, Katerynivka, Hrekivka and Novomykhailivka, but was unsuccessful.
In the Siversky sector, Ukrainian forces stopped eight hostile attacks near Bilohorivka and Hryhorivka. In the Kupiansk, Kramatorsk, Huliaipil and Novopavlivka sectors, the activity was less intense, but the defenders continue to hold their positions.
The situation is particularly tense in the Kursk sector: 24 combat engagements were recorded, the enemy carried out 45 air strikes, launched 62 guided missiles and conducted 372 artillery attacks.
The defence is holding, and Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold back the Russian army’s offensive in all major areas.
