Intense fighting continues at the frontline. Over the course of 12 April, 149 combat engagements were recorded in 12 sectors. Russian troops continue to attack, but Ukrainian defenders are holding the line and retaliating with powerful strikes. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces and artillery hit 11 areas where enemy manpower and equipment were concentrated. In addition, two multiple launch rocket systems, one artillery unit and two air defence systems were destroyed.
Russia conducted over 6,400 attacks, including 215 using multiple launch rocket launchers. 101 air strikes were carried out using 183 guided missiles. The attacks also involved 2,789 kamikaze drones.
The fiercest fighting took place in the Pokrovsk sector, where the enemy made 40 attacks. There were 25 attacks in the Liman sector and 14 in the Toretsk sector. In the Kursk region, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 21 attacks. The enemy’s offensive actions were also recorded in the Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Siversk, Kramatorsk, Novopavlivka, Orikhivsk and Prydniprovskyi directions, with no results for the enemy.
The General Staff notes that despite the intense onslaught of Russian forces, Ukrainian troops are confidently holding back attacks and controlling the situation on the frontline.
