On the night of 12 April, Russian troops launched a massive attack on the territory of Ukraine using Shahed attack drones. A total of 88 drones were launched.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to official information, Ukrainian air defence destroyed 56 enemy UAVs. Another 24 drones are considered “locally lost” – their whereabouts or the consequences of their crash are currently being clarified.
The enemy launched drones from the Kursk, Millerovo and Prymorsko-Akhtarsk areas.
Five regions were affected by the attack: Kharkiv, Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro and Donetsk regions. The destruction of infrastructure, fires and other consequences of enemy shelling were recorded there.
Details of the damage and casualties are being clarified by local military administrations.
