Israel continues to repel attacks and conduct targeted strikes against terrorists in the Gaza Strip and beyond.
According to the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), after air raid sirens sounded in a number of areas of the country today, it was determined that one rocket was fired from Yemen at Israel.
According to the military, the air defence system attempted to intercept the missile, and probably succeeded. The sirens were activated in accordance with safety protocols.
In addition, today in the Gaza Strip, the IDF conducted a precision air strike against a high-ranking commander of the Hamas terrorist group.
Ubayd Allah Naim al-Hadhud Musa, deputy head of a Hamas sniper group in Deir al-Balah, was killed. The terrorist was killed in his car.
The Israeli army stressed that before the strike, measures were taken to minimise damage to civilians – precision munitions were used, aerial surveillance was conducted and additional intelligence information was gathered.
