Benny Gantz calls for a coordinated strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities

Israeli opposition leader and chairman of the State Camp party, Benny Gantz, has made a strong call for Israel to launch a coordinated strike against Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. His statement came amid reports that Tel Aviv had postponed the operation after US President Donald Trump opposed the military scenario and relied on diplomacy.

This was reported by Cursorinfo.

“The Iranian regime is an expert at stalling. The state of Israel must and can eliminate the prospect of Iran’s nuclear capability,” Gantz wrote on Twitter in English.

In the Hebrew version of the post, the politician was even clearer: Israel “must and can strike Iran”.

Ganz stressed the need for close coordination with Washington, but also called for determination:

“It is time to change the Middle East in close coordination with our great ally, the United States of America,” he said.

The opposition leader’s statement increases tensions in Israeli politics amid growing threats from Tehran and limited support for military action from Washington. Commentators in Israel point out that Gantz is actually pushing the government to take decisive action, even if the United States is currently refraining from military escalation.

Earlier it was reported that Israel had prepared a plan for an air strike on Iranian nuclear facilities, but temporarily postponed it due to diplomatic disagreements with the Trump administration.
