On the morning of 18 April, Russian troops attacked a DTEK energy facility in the Dnipro region with drones. This was reported by the energy company’s press service.

“This morning, a drone attack damaged DTEK’s production site in the Dnipro region,” the company said in an official statement.

According to preliminary reports, the buildings and equipment were severely damaged. Despite the intensity of the attack, no employees were injured.

The company emphasised that the consequences of the strike are currently being eliminated, and specialists are already working to restore the facility’s operation.

This is not the first attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. In recent weeks, Russian forces have stepped up attacks on energy facilities in an attempt to sow chaos in the rear and undermine the resilience of civilian infrastructure. DTEK emphasises that such actions are deliberate attempts to destroy the country’s critical energy system.
