The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), together with the Israel Security Agency (ISA), struck a Hamas command post in the Jabaliya area. This command centre was used by the terrorists to plan and carry out attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers.
Prior to the strike, a number of measures were taken to minimise harm to civilians, including the use of aerial surveillance and additional intelligence.
Hamas systematically violates international law by seizing civilian infrastructure and using civilians as human shields for its terrorist operations. The IDF and the ISA will continue to confront Hamas in order to protect the State of Israel.
