On the morning of 18 April, Russian troops struck Sumy, attacking an industrial infrastructure facility. According to the acting mayor, Artem Kobzar, three direct hits by drones were recorded on the same building.
“All three UAVs hit the same building. Unfortunately, one person died as a result of the attack. Another person was injured and sought medical assistance,” Kobzar said.
The facility’s building was severely damaged: the roof was completely destroyed and the structures were deformed.
The local authorities expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and once again called on residents to observe safety measures during air raid alerts. Relevant services are working at the site of the strike.
