On the morning of 18 April, the Russian army launched a missile attack on Dnipro and its suburbs. This was reported by the head of the Dnipro regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak.
According to him, the explosions took place in Dniprovsky district. A fitness centre, a hotel and an office building were damaged in the city itself.
“Dry grass caught fire in Pidhorodne. Private houses and greenhouses were damaged. In the Novooleksandrivska community, property in an outbuilding was on fire,” said the head of the region.
Fires were raging in several locations. Rescue services quickly extinguished the fires. Information about the victims is being updated.
The authorities are urging residents not to ignore air raid warnings and to follow safety rules.
