Russian “Shahed” hit a confectionery company in Sumy: an entrepreneur was killed and Easter cakes production was destroyed

Around five in the morning on 18 April, a Russian Shahed kamikaze drone attacked a confectionery company in Sumy. The strike killed an entrepreneur who had come to the factory to buy holiday products. This was reported by the head of the Sumy district military administration, Mykhailo Melnyk.

“At around 5am, the enemy struck a Shahed UAV at a confectionery shop in Sumy. The production of Easter cakes was damaged. An entrepreneur who came to buy the products was killed,” the official wrote.

The attack took place just a few days before Easter, when the company was operating at full capacity, producing holiday baked goods. The hit damaged the production facility, causing a fire and partial destruction of the workshop.

Rescue services quickly arrived at the scene and eliminated the consequences of the attack. Local authorities expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and urged residents not to ignore air raid warnings.
