The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) reported the launch of a projectile from Yemen, which triggered air raids in a number of Israeli regions. The incident took place on 18 April, and a preliminary analysis of the situation is ongoing.
“Initial report: sirens sounded in several areas of Israel after a projectile was fired from Yemen. Details are being investigated,” the IDF said in an official statement.
Israeli air defence systems could have been activated to respond to a potential threat, but there has been no confirmation of an interception.
The Home Front Command is urging citizens to stay in shelters in case of an air raid alert and to follow official instructions closely. The situation in the region remains tense amid ongoing attacks by pro-Iranian groups in Yemen.
