The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) has officially confirmed that a missile fired from Yemen was successfully intercepted by air defence systems. The incident occurred after air raid sirens sounded in several parts of the country.

“Following sirens that sounded some time ago in several parts of Israel, a rocket launched from Yemen was intercepted. The sirens were activated in accordance with protocol,” the IDF said in a statement.

The threat was detected and neutralised in a timely manner. No casualties or damage were reported. The rear command called on citizens to continue to strictly follow the instructions during the alert and stay in shelters until officially permitted.

This incident once again demonstrates the growing threats posed by Yemeni pro-Iranian groups attempting to attack Israeli territory amid the tense situation in the region.
