Starting from 10:00 a.m. on 22 April, repair and reconstruction works will begin at the Shehyni checkpoint on the border with Poland. As a result, one of the lanes leaving Ukraine will be temporarily unavailable, which may lead to queues.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

“Starting from 22 April 2025, at 10:00 a.m., repair and reconstruction work will begin at Shehyni. As a result, passenger vehicles will be restricted from leaving Ukraine,” the official statement said.

“In particular, one of the exit lanes will be closed, which may lead to queues.”

What travellers should know

The repair work will last until approximately 10 May. Border guards urge citizens to plan their trips in advance and, if possible, choose alternative checkpoints where the load may be lower.

Alternative checkpoints:

Rava-Ruska

Pears

Ugryniv

Trash can

Nyzhankovychi

The SBGS asks citizens to take this information into account in order to avoid unforeseen delays at the border.
