Six residents of Poltava region suffer from nighttime drone attack – homes and offices damaged

On the night of 23 April, Russian forces attacked Poltava region with 13 attack drones. Some of them were shot down by air defence forces, but debris and direct hits caused significant damage to civilian infrastructure. This was reported by the acting head of the Poltava regional military administration, Volodymyr Kohut, on Telegram.

Kogut’s direct speech:

“At night, the city was attacked by 13 attack UAVs. Some of them were shot down by air defence forces. The falling debris and direct hits caused damage and destruction. Six people were injured in the strike. Three of them refused to be hospitalised. Others were hospitalised, one of them was seriously injured.”

According to Kogut, a private house was destroyed in Podilskyi district, several multi-storey buildings, private houses and warehouses of two civilian enterprises were damaged. In Shevchenkivskyi district, two office buildings, several multi-storey buildings and cars were damaged.

All relevant services are working on the ground.
