President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that the key players in Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction will be those countries that provide real support now, not those who are just watching or waiting. He said this in an interview with Ukrainian journalists.
“We are rightly asking the question: who is helping Ukraine in its most difficult moment? Who saves lives, provides weapons, finance, diplomatic support? These countries, companies and governments should be the first to participate in reconstruction projects,” the Head of State stressed.
According to the president, Ukraine already has preliminary agreements with a number of countries, including the G7, the EU, Scandinavia and some Asian partners. Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine will remember every gesture of solidarity and support and expects a fair approach to future infrastructure contracts.
The President also added that in June, Switzerland would host a summit on peace in Ukraine, which would become not only a political but also an economic benchmark for the partners.
