Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Asman held a series of important meetings in Washington, D.C., aimed at strengthening support for Ukraine in its struggle for freedom and justice. In his Facebook posts, the Rabbi shared his impressions of his dialogues with influential American politicians, public figures and representatives of the Jewish community, emphasising the importance of unity in confronting evil.

“My principle in life is that words from the heart will surely find their way into another heart! May the Almighty help me open their eyes to the truth!”

– Rabin wrote, expressing his gratitude for the attention of his American partners.

During the visit, Moshe Asman had a fruitful conversation with Doug Bergam, the U.S. Secretary of the Interior and an influential figure in the new government. The rabbi thanked the US government for its support of Ukraine and Israel, described the trials of the Ukrainian people, and called for continued assistance to ensure that light prevails over darkness.

Meetings with US congressmen were also an important part of the visit. The rabbi spoke with Congressman Joe Wilson, whom he thanked for his firm stance in support of Ukraine and Israel, and blessed him to make the right decisions. In a conversation with Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney, Moshe Asman emphasised the pain of the Ukrainian people and the critical need for support, as not only the fate of Ukraine but also the broader struggle for good depends on it. Congressman Ryan Zinke received a similar blessing and a call to action, and the Rabbi told him about the difficult situation in Ukraine.

One of the key events was a meeting with Andrew Baker, Director of International Jewish Affairs at the American Jewish Committee and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on Combating Anti-Semitism. In a warm and sincere conversation with the participation of the organisation’s staff and sponsors, they discussed the security and humanitarian aspects of supporting Ukraine. The rabbi expressed his gratitude for the work of the American Jewish Committee in defending the truth about Ukraine in the international arena and stressed that such meetings contribute to strengthening solidarity between the Jewish and Ukrainian peoples.

“I am sure that each such dialogue brings the victory of good over evil closer. That is why I do not stop and continue to work!” said Moshe Asman, emphasising his commitment to the cause.

The Rabin’s visit to Washington was another step in promoting international support for Ukraine, demonstrating the power of dialogue and faith in the triumph of truth.
