The situation on the frontline remains extremely tense – as of 16:00, 84 combat engagements were recorded. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an evening update.
The Pokrovsk sector was the most heavily attacked, with Russian troops attempting to break through Ukrainian defences 31 times in the vicinity of 15 localities, including near Myrolyubivka, Kotlyarivka, Malynivka, Yelizavetivka and Andriivka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully repelled 27 attacks.
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy made two attacks – near Vovchansk and Kamianka.
In the Liman sector, there were three attacks, one of which is ongoing.
In the Siversky sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled an attack near Hryhorivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, two firefights are ongoing, and four attacks have been repelled.
In the Toretsk sector, four attacks were stopped near Toretsk, Druzhba and Diliyivka.
In the Novopavlivske sector, the enemy attacked at least 13 times, five battles are still ongoing.
In the Orikhivsk sector, the Russians failed near Stepove and Novodanylivka.
In the Prydniprovsky sector, there was one futile enemy attack.
In the Kursk region, 12 attacks were stopped, and four more are ongoing.
Ukrainian defence forces continue to hold the frontline and inflict significant losses on the enemy.
