Today, we bow our heads to you – the soldiers of the Ukrainian Marines. On the day of your professional holiday, we would like to say the most important thing: thank you for being here. We thank you for every metre of Ukrainian land, for every position liberated, for every minute when the enemy feels fear, knowing that marines are coming.
Since the first days of the full-scale invasion, you have been where it gets hot. On the coast and in the steppes, in the cities and in the trenches, during the siege of Mariupol and the assaults in Donetsk region, you held on when there was no water, no ammunition and no communication. You did not give up even when everyone else did.
Your black beret is not just a badge of honour. It is a symbol of character, brotherhood and honour. It is a sign that you are ready to go where others will not dare. You are the elite.
You are remembered. They are proud of you. You are the stuff of legends.
Time Ukraine Israel thanks each and every Marine – alive, wounded, missing, captured and killed. You are in the heart of the country. You are in the songs, in the documents of history, in our memory. You are part of our freedom.
We wish you strength of spirit, loyal brothers, fair command and a great Victory. Come back alive. We are waiting for you.
