Massive Russian attack on Kyiv: 11 injured, fires and destruction of civilian infrastructure

On the night of 25 May, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Kyiv with kamikaze drones. A residential building, a dormitory and a business centre were damaged. At least 11 civilians were injured. The attack continues.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, as of 04:00, 11 victims aged 18 to 62 have been confirmed. Rescue operations are ongoing and the data is being updated.

The main consequences of the impact:

Holosiivskyi district:
▪️ A dormitory was damaged and a fire broke out – it was extinguished
▪️ UAV debris was recorded falling in several locations

Dniprovskyi district:
▪️ Private house partially destroyed, 2nd floor destroyed

Shevchenkivskyi district:
▪️ Business centre damaged

Rescuers and utilities are working on the ground. The air alert in the capital is still in effect. Enemy attack UAVs continue to be spotted in the airspace around Kyiv, and air defence systems may be used.

“We urge residents not to leave the shelters until the alert is over!” the KCIA stressed.
