Any hints from Russia about the possible outbreak of World War III are absolutely reckless and inappropriate. This statement was made by the US President’s Special Envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg, commenting on the latest escalating rhetoric of the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.

“Stirring up fear of World War III is an unfortunate and reckless statement by Dmitry Medvedev, unbecoming of a world power,” Kellogg wrote on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

According to the diplomat, Donald Trump’s administration is working to end the war in Ukraine. He also stressed the expectation of a Russian memorandum, which the Kremlin mentioned last week.

“We expect to receive the Russian memorandum. The ceasefire must be implemented immediately, ” the Special Envoy stressed.

Earlier, in response to Donald Trump’s statement about “very bad things that could happen in Russia”, Medvedev wrote that he knew of only one such thing – World War III. His remarks provoked a sharp reaction among Western politicians and diplomats.

Against the backdrop of ongoing diplomatic initiatives and discussions on a possible ceasefire in Ukraine, the Kremlin continues to raise the level of nuclear rhetoric. At the same time, the United States demonstrates its desire for a peaceful settlement, disagreeing with the language of ultimatums and intimidation.
