Zelenskyy and Finnish Prime Minister discuss the “Drone Line” project and joint weapons production

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of Finland Petteri Orpo during the summit in the Lithuanian capital. The key topics of the conversation were deepening defence cooperation, joint investments in Ukrainian arms production, and scaling up the Drone Line project.

“I told him about our Drone Line project, which has already proven its effectiveness. We discussed how to scale it up and make it even more powerful,” Zelenskyy said in his Telegram.

“Drone Line is an example of Ukraine’s innovative advantage

The project, which was launched as an initiative to deploy combat drones along the front line, has shown high efficiency in detecting and destroying enemy forces, the General Staff notes. According to the President, investments in Ukrainian production and co-production with partners are a priority at this stage of the war.

Defence, shelter, EU

The talks also focused on Ukraine’s membership in the European Union, Finland’s participation in the shelter coalition, which helps to strengthen the protection of civilians, and Helsinki’s general defence support.
