President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the situation on the frontline remained very difficult in certain areas, but the resilience of Ukrainian units determined the overall course of hostilities. In his evening address, the Head of State reported on the report of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi on the situation in the Pokrovske and Lyman directions, as well as along the Ukrainian border in Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

“In some areas, the situation is very difficult, but it all depends on the resilience of our units,” Zelensky said.

The President thanked all those involved in the defence of the state and stressed that Russian intentions remained unchanged, so the main thing was the focus and determination of all the Defence and Security Forces of Ukraine.

The Head of State noted the combat effectiveness of the 68th separate ranger brigade and the 72nd separate mechanised brigade in the Pokrovsk sector. The 66th separate mechanised brigade received special thanks for its actions in the Lyman sector, as well as the 33rd and 225th assault regiments, which distinguished themselves in the Kursk sector.

Zelensky called on citizens to be vigilant and respond to air raid warnings, stressing that every Ukrainian in their place brings victory closer.
