President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff, where the main focus was on the situation at the front, targeted strikes on Russian military targets and the formation of new combat corps. He said this in his traditional evening address.

“Strikes should reduce the real indicators of arms production, logistics, and strategic potential of the Russian Federation – not just spoil Moscow’s mood,” the Head of State stressed.

The meeting was also attended by Defence Minister Rustem Umerov, Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, Chief of the General Staff Anatoliy Hnatov, and representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine and intelligence.

In addition to military issues, Zelenskyy discussed with the government the schedule of international meetings in June. The President stressed that each diplomatic event should bring a concrete result.

“No meeting should be empty. If it does not lead to the end of the war through diplomacy, it should benefit defence or pressure on Russia,” Zelenskyy said.
