Zelenskyy: In June, Russia fired almost 6,000 drones, bombs and missiles at Ukraine

In June alone, Russia launched nearly six thousand strikes against Ukraine, including about 2,800 attack drones, nearly 3,000 guided aerial bombs and 140 missiles of various types. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on his Facebook page.

The Head of State also released footage of the destruction caused by night strikes on Ukrainian cities, including Kremenchuk in Poltava region, which came under massive attack on the night of 15 June.

“Last night, Ukraine’s air defence system neutralised 167 enemy targets. In total, 183 attack drones and 11 missiles were launched, including ballistic, cruise and Daggers,” Zelensky said.
“I thank everyone who defends our sky,” he added.

The President stressed that Moscow has been waging a full-scale war for four years and is constantly increasing the intensity of its strikes. In this regard, he called on international partners to adopt new painful sanctions.

“We need price caps that will really stop the financing of the war. We need sanctions against Russian banks and the financial sector that will hurt. We need to fight hard against all schemes to circumvent restrictions. America, the EU and the G7 countries are able to ensure this,” Zelenskyy stressed.

The appeal also calls for the speedy adoption of decisions that will help stop Russian aggression by increasing pressure on the Kremlin on all fronts – military, economic and diplomatic.
