Massive attack on Kyiv: over 40 injured, transport infrastructure damaged

As a result of a massive nighttime attack on Kyiv by Russians with drones and missiles, more than 40 residents of the capital were injured and more than 30 people were hospitalised.
This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko on his Telegram channel.

“More than 40 people were injured in the capital as a result of a massive enemy attack. More than 30 of them were hospitalised. One man, a US citizen, died during the attack,” Klitschko said.

In addition to human casualties, significant damage was done to Kyiv’s transport infrastructure.

At the moment, traffic is stopped:

  • tram route No. 15;
  • Tram route No. 22 – due to damage to the contact network.

The Kyiv City Administration promises to inform separately about the resumption of traffic.

Traffic is also blocked on Boryspilska Street.

Changes in bus routes:

  • routes 51, 63, 115 are organised according to the following scheme:
    • Lybidska metro station – Pryvokzalna Street;
    • Kosmonavta Popovycha Street – Pryvokzalna Street;
    • The contract area is located on Privokzalnaya Street.

On Saturday night, Kyiv came under a combined attack using kamikaze drones and missiles. The capital was on alert for almost 9 hours.

Earlier, there were reports of damage to residential buildings, schools, kindergartens and critical infrastructure in several districts of the capital.
