In the coming days, the United States of America may directly intervene in the conflict between Israel and Iran and strike at important facilities in Iran.

Bloomberg reports this with reference to sources in the US government.

According to the publication, a potential attack could take place as early as the weekend of 21-22 June. However, the final decision has not yet been made, and Washington’s plans may change depending on the situation.

According to Bloomberg, several US federal agencies are already preparing for a possible strike, which may indicate that the US administration is creating the infrastructure to directly engage in a confrontation with Tehran.

In recent days, US President Donald Trump’s position on America’s involvement in the Iran-Israel conflict has changed dramatically under pressure from his Republican allies. They convinced the president that Iran is close to obtaining nuclear weapons.

One of the main supporters of a tough policy towards Iran is South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham. He urged Trump to consider military involvement and had several phone conversations with the White House.

“He gave them a chance for diplomacy. I think they made a mistake. The sooner we end this threat to humanity, the better,” Graham said.

In recent days, Trump himself has repeatedly mentioned the possibility of launching a strike against Iran: “I may or may not do it,” he said on Wednesday in response to journalists’ questions.

The White House confirms that all options are currently on the table.
