The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that the newly appointed Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF), Major Robert Brovdi, has committed to bringing six or seven USF units to the list of the top 10 most effective military formations in terms of fighting the enemy. “And I know he will do it,” emphasised Syrsky.

Experience and respect in the environment

According to the Commander-in-Chief, Major Brovdi has extensive combat experience – from volunteer to platoon, company, battalion, regiment and brigade commander of unmanned systems. He is now leading a new kind of troops. Syrsky noted that Brovdi “has taken on the job very intensively” and enjoys authority among his subordinates.

Development and integration plans

Syrskyi emphasised the task facing the new commander: to develop the Unmanned Systems Forces, integrate the “advanced units” into a single “Drone Line” and ensure control and effective execution of tasks. “I can already see the results of unity between commanders and increased operational efficiency,” he added.
