Ukrainian poultry products now officially have access to the market of the Sultanate of Oman, which has become the ninth open export market for the Ukrainian agricultural sector this year. This was reported by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP).

“The export of meat, offal and other poultry products became possible after the approval of veterinary requirements and a certificate with the Omani side,” the agency said in a statement.

Certificate agreed: what it means for exporters

In accordance with the agreements reached, the veterinary certificate that gives the green light for the supply of Ukrainian chicken to Oman has already been published on the official website of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in the section “Export Certificates from Ukraine”.

Exporters can now legally supply poultry products to Oman in compliance with approved veterinary and sanitary requirements:

  • compliance with production conditions,
  • Proper transport and packaging,
  • compliance with labelling in accordance with Omani law.

The geography is expanding: 31 new markets on the horizon

The head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Serhiy Tkachuk, called the opening of the Omani market an important step towards strengthening Ukraine’s position in the international agri-food market:

“This is the result of systematic cooperation between the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Ukrainian diplomats abroad.”

Earlier in 2025, the agency announced that it was working on entering 31 new markets where Ukrainian producers are interested in promoting agricultural products.
