The Netherlands has signed contracts for the production of 600,000 Ukrainian drones to be delivered to Ukraine this year as part of the Drone Line initiative.
This was reported by the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov on Facebook.
“The Netherlands has signed contracts for the production of 600,000 Ukrainian drones for Ukraine as part of the Drone Line initiative, with deliveries to be made this year,” Umerov said.
According to him, these contracts are part of a new package of military assistance from the Netherlands worth more than €675 million. In addition to the drones, the package also includes the supply of 100 additional radars to detect drones and equipment for evacuating the wounded.
The Minister of Defence thanked the Government of the Netherlands and personally Minister of Defence Ruben Brekelmans for their leadership and support of Ukraine.
“This is an example of true partnership and faith in Ukraine’s victory. Together, we are doing everything possible to ensure that our Armed Forces have a technological advantage on the battlefield,” Umerov stressed.
