Frankfurt Hosts a Thrilling Encounter in Group Stage Match
The third round of the group stage in the UEFA Euro 2024 saw an exciting clash between Germany and Switzerland in Frankfurt, ending in a 1-1 draw. This result allowed both teams to advance to the playoffs of the tournament.

Match Highlights
The match began at a moderate pace with Germany controlling possession. In the second minute, Musiala delivered a brilliant pass to Gündogan, who missed a one-on-one opportunity due to a poor touch.
In the 17th minute, Germany appeared to take the lead when Andrich struck from 25 meters, but the goal was disallowed due to a foul by Musiala on a defender. Switzerland responded in the 29th minute when Freuler’s shot was deflected in by Dan Ndoye, making it 0-1.
Germany intensified their efforts in the second half but struggled to create clear-cut chances. Switzerland, meanwhile, posed a threat with their counterattacks. On the 50th minute, Sommer saved a powerful shot from Musiala.
Germany continued to press, and in the 70th minute, Kimmich found himself in the box but failed to finish. Kroos delivered a dangerous free-kick in the 82nd minute, which was saved by the Swiss goalkeeper, and Sané missed the follow-up. In the 84th minute, Switzerland’s second goal was ruled offside.
In the dying moments of the match, Raum delivered a cross, and Füllkrug headed it into the top corner, securing a 1-1 draw in the second minute of added time.
