On Sunday, June 30, Russian military forces once again targeted Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, with a missile strike. According to Serhiy Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA), the air defense system successfully intercepted the missiles. However, debris from the intercepted missiles fell on a residential building in the Obolon district.

Preliminary reports indicate that the falling debris caused damage to the multi-story residential building. Information regarding the extent of the damage and any potential casualties is still being clarified.

“In the Obolon district of the capital, debris fell on a residential building, causing fires on the 8th and 9th floors. All emergency services are on the scene,” reported Serhiy Popko.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko added that no reports from injured residents of the affected building in Obolon have been received so far. Medical teams are on standby at the scene, ready to provide necessary assistance.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation and urge citizens to follow safety precautions, stay in safe shelters, and adhere to the instructions of emergency services.
