The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) plans to introduce restrictions on transfers from card to card. Discussions on this matter are currently underway with volunteers.

This was announced by NBU Governor Andriy Pyshnyy during a meeting of the Parliament’s financial committee, as reported by RBC-Ukraine citing his statement.

“We are currently in the phase of discussing this issue with volunteers. We want the policy that the NBU is implementing in this complex, socially sensitive issue to be as clear and acceptable as possible to those who are concerned about this decision,” said Pyshnyy.

According to him, NBU representatives are now in the second round of discussions with the volunteer community, collecting their positions and analyzing them.

“But we are determined to find a solution to this difficult but dangerous problem,” said the NBU governor.

As reported by RBC-Ukraine, the NBU is finalizing a draft resolution that includes limits on weekend transactions from card to card. The option of limits is being discussed – no more than 30 transactions and up to 100,000 hryvnias per month in one bank.
