New Rule Starts: Ukrainian Men Need Military ID to Exit Country
Starting July 17, all Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 intending to leave Ukraine must possess a military ID, according to Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, speaking to RBK-Ukraine.

As reported by RBK-Ukraine, border officials will deny crossing to those without a military ID. Another criterion for refusal is a wanted status, which may involve police intervention.
Who Can Exit?
Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 with deferments or exemptions from military service due to health reasons can cross borders if their military documents confirm their status.
Reasons for the Changes
The mobilization law, effective May 16, mandates updating military records for Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 within two months. This can be done at TSKs, CNAPs, or via the “Reserve+” app. Additionally, the Ministry of Defense recently highlighted common myths regarding electronic call-ups in the “Reserve+” app.
