“In the Kiev region on Friday, July 5th, an air alert was declared due to a spotted ‘reconnaissance UAV’ in the sky.
At 14:05, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on their Telegram channel. It was later determined that the aircraft in question was an unknown hang glider.
‘Kiev region – possible air defense activity against enemy reconnaissance UAV!’ the message stated. However, according to local social media posts, the ‘enemy UAV’ turned out to be an unknown hang glider.
Who exactly decided to take to the skies during wartime and amidst regular Russian attacks remains unknown. However, users advise thrill-seekers to refrain from such flights until one of them gets shot down.”
