Major Renovation

“Dizengoff Center” in Tel Aviv is set for a significant overhaul. The project includes adding three new floors to each building of the shopping center. This was reported by vesty. The new floors will feature hotel rooms, small apartments for rent and sale, and office spaces. Additionally, new halls for the “Lev” cinema and expanded fitness centers will be introduced.

Modern Design and Infrastructure Upgrades

The extension will feature a modern design distinct from the existing buildings, with rooftop green spaces for visitors to enjoy. The project also includes upgrading the surrounding streets: 1240 Street will be converted into a pedestrian zone, and Tchernichovsky and King George Streets will see new pedestrian walkways and bike lanes.

History of Dizengoff Center

Dizengoff Center, opened in 1977 by Aryeh Filz with financial support from businessman Shmuel Flatto-Sharon, was one of Israel’s first major shopping centers. The complex spans two buildings on either side of Dizengoff Street, connected by underground and aboveground passages.
