Poland records rapid growth in exports of its goods

Poland has reported a sharp increase in the export of its products to third-country markets, with a notable surge in exports to Ukraine over the past two years. This was announced by Poland’s Deputy Minister of Development and Technology, Jacek Tomczak, during a Business Forum in Warsaw, according to Wnp.pl.

Tomczak highlighted that in 2023, Poland was one of 11 EU countries to record export growth, while the EU average saw a decline of -2.5%.

“We outpaced all the major exporters in the EU. Even the war in Ukraine did not stop the growth of Polish exports. In the case of Ukraine, we are witnessing an export boom. In 2022, it increased by 55%, and in 2023 by another 16%,” the official said.

In addition to Ukraine, Poland has seen substantial export growth to countries such as the U.S., Turkey, Mexico, India, the UAE, Kazakhstan, and Singapore. In 2023, exports to these countries grew by over 30%. Tomczak also noted that exports accounted for nearly 58% of Poland’s GDP in 2023, a figure higher than in Germany or France.
