In today’s world, where geopolitical challenges are becoming increasingly complex and threats to peace and stability are growing, the role of strong leaders is crucial. One such leader is Donald Trump, a president known for his determination, pragmatic approach and ability to put national interests first. Today, as Ukraine fights for its freedom and independence in the face of Russian aggression, Trump could be the force that changes the course of events and secures the support of the Ukrainian people.
Why does Ukraine need Trump?
For more than three years now, Ukraine has been confronting unprecedented aggression from Russia. The war unleashed by the Kremlin has claimed thousands of lives, destroyed cities and threatened the existence of Ukrainian statehood. Despite the heroic resistance of Ukrainians, the country needs strong international support to not only survive, but to win. Donald Trump, known for his tough stance against the enemies of democracy and his ability to make effective deals, could be a key figure in this process.
During his first term in office, Trump demonstrated that he was able to act quickly and decisively. His administration provided Ukraine with lethal weapons, including Javelin anti-tank systems, which was an important step in supporting the Ukrainian army. Unlike many other politicians who have paid lip service to the war, Trump has acted concretely to strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities. Now that the war has taken on new dimensions, his return to power could mean renewing the same firm and practical support.
Trump as a symbol of strength and justice
Donald Trump is known for his slogan “America First”, but his vision goes far beyond US domestic policy. He has repeatedly stated that he wants world peace, but peace through strength. In the context of the war in Ukraine, this means that Trump can use his influence to force Russia to stop its aggression. His ability to negotiate with Vladimir Putin gives hope that he can achieve results where others have failed.
Moreover, Trump understands the importance of Ukraine for global security. Russian aggression is not only a problem for Ukraine, but also a challenge for the entire democratic world. If Putin succeeds in destroying Ukraine’s statehood, it will send a signal to other authoritarian regimes that anything can be achieved by force. Trump, as a leader who values strength and order, cannot allow such a scenario to materialise.
What can Trump do for Ukraine?
- Increased military aid. Trump may resume and expand the supply of modern weapons to Ukraine, including air defence systems, long-range missiles and armoured vehicles. This will allow the Ukrainian army not only to defend itself but also to launch successful counter-offensives.
- Economic pressure on Russia. Thanks to his business experience, Trump knows how to use economic leverage effectively. Increased sanctions against the Russian economy, particularly in the energy sector, could significantly weaken the Kremlin’s ability to finance the war.
- Diplomatic offensive. Trump can organise an international coalition in support of Ukraine, involving not only Western countries but also the states of the Global South, which have so far remained neutral. His charisma and persuasive skills will make this coalition a powerful force.
Why Trump?
Sceptics may ask: why Donald Trump and not another leader? The answer is simple: Trump is not only a politician, but also a symbol of resistance to weakness and indecision. He is not afraid to challenge the status quo, speak the truth and act where others hesitate. His approach to foreign policy is based on realism: he does not believe in empty promises or endless negotiations, but seeks results.
In addition, Trump has a personal motive to support Ukraine. During his first term, Russia tried to discredit him by using Ukraine as a tool in its political games. Now that he is back in power, he has a chance to prove that his support for Ukraine is not only a strategic move, but also a matter of honour.

Today, Ukraine stands at the forefront of the struggle for freedom, democracy and the right of peoples to determine their own future. The great and powerful Donald Trump has a unique opportunity to stand up for Ukraine, strengthening its position in the war and ensuring peace in Europe. His strength, determination and pragmatism are exactly what the Ukrainian people need at this critical moment.
