90 Heroes Returned Home: Ukraine Welcomes Its Defenders
Kyiv, June 25 — Today, an event took place in Ukraine that strengthened the faith of every Ukrainian in the victory and invincibility of our people. 90 brave defenders who were in Russian captivity returned home. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, announced this on his official Telegram channel
“Home is not just words. Home is Ukraine. Today, another 90 of our people returned home from Russian captivity,”
the head of state emphasized in his address. Among the freed heroes are soldiers of the National Guard, Navy, Army, Teroboron, and Border Guard, who defended Mariupol, the Chornobyl NPP, and also fought in the Kherson, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, and Luhansk directions.
This is not just another exchange of prisoners. This is evidence that Ukraine never leaves its sons and daughters in trouble.
“We remember all our people in Russian captivity. We continue our work for the release of each and every one,”
Zelensky emphasized, expressing gratitude to the team that tirelessly works on the exchanges: Budanov, Yermak, Malyuk, Klymenko and Lubinets.
Families, friends and the whole country were waiting for this event. Every returned defender is a victory for Ukraine, it is proof of our strength and unity in the face of aggression. This return testifies to the indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian people and their ability to stand to the last for their freedom.
Ukraine once again showed the world its stability and indomitability. We continue to fight for each of our citizens, for each defender, and we will definitely win.
