Czech President Petr Pavel strongly condemned Russian missile strikes on Ukrainian cities, including the “Okhmatdyt” hospital. He stated that such attacks cannot be justified.

“These attacks are proof that Putin’s Russia will stop at nothing, and an assault on the most vulnerable cannot be justified,” Pavel wrote in his statement on X (Twitter).

The Czech President also noted that he is heading to the NATO summit, expecting consensus on recognizing Russia as the greatest threat that requires careful preparation.

The Russian attack on July 8, which claimed at least 27 lives in Kyiv, Dnipro, and Kryvyi Rih, was denounced by several Western officials and ambassadors. Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský also criticized those who dream of peace with Russia, calling them “useful idiots.”

A press conference by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Warsaw began with a minute of silence for the victims.
